
Josh Balber
Josh brings more than 25 years of communications experience, working extensively with nonprofit cultural and educational organizations to strategically communicate their institutional messages, new initiatives, and unique programs to the media and to key stakeholders. He has expertise in leading communications campaigns for the performing arts, civic engagement initiatives, executive leadership transitions, new building openings, crisis and issues management, and digital media. Josh has provided strategic communications and media relations for some of the country’s leading cultural institutions, including The Apollo, Jazz at Lincoln Center, MCC Theater, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Park Avenue Armory, San Francisco Ballet, Peabody Institute, Johns Hopkins University, and many others. As Senior Vice President, Josh is a member of the executive leadership team.
Prior to joining Resnicow and Associates, Josh worked at the Jackie Robinson Foundation as director of communications, as assistant vice president and senior director of communications for the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), and at a boutique communications agency representing authors and publishers.
Josh serves on the board of The 24 Hour Plays, and previously served on the boards of GlassRoots and Partnership in Philanthropy, and in volunteer leadership positions for the Greater Newark Convention & Visitors Bureau and Newark Museum Council. Josh has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Film Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
